Dovea Genetics Sired Incalf Heifers in the Headlines in Corrin Mart
The Ballintosig herd of Anothony Flavin once again stole the show at Corrin Mart's dairy sale, Friday 26th January.
With a total of 19 incalf heifers on offer from the Killeagh, Co.Cork farmer, trade was alight as customer's battled to purchase part of one of Ireland's best dairy herds.
Top price of the day went to lot 9, Ballintosig Fr5860 Amber 1009 EBI €326; Sold for €5800
This impressive young heifer is sired by Saintbrigid Frank Joseph (FR5860), the No.1 daughter proven sire on the ICBF Active Bull List
Her VG 86 dam is also the dam of our very own Ballintosig Mister Man (FR7749)
Dam avg. of 3 lact: 7512 Kg of milk at 4.77% Fat & 4.00% Protein
Second highest price of the sale went to Lot 18 Ballintosig 6472 Amber 1001 EBI €304; Sold for €5000
This heifer was sired by Ardallen Fergus (FR6472), another of Dovea's component specialists

Lot 17, a Bawngarra Bród (FR6622) daughter Ballintosig Fr6622 Amber 1012 EBI €327 also featured as the third top price of the day at €4020
Daughters of Glenaboy Ronald (FR4785), Ballydunne Olaf (FR6499) also stood amongst the top prices on the day
