PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

The Dovea Genetics Graduate Programme is designed to provide graduates with responsibility and an opportunity to develop within the early stages of their career. The programme will provide a platform for them to advance in the agricultural industry. The programme consists of an overview of the Dovea Genetics business but will focus on key areas of the company which are outlined below. The Dovea Genetics Graduate Programme will be of two years duration.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

Over the duration of the two year programme, the successful candidate will spend two different 12 months placements in some of the key areas of the business outlined below.

Dairy & Beef Breeding Programmes

The breeding programmes are the cornerstone of our business. The successful candidate will spend time with the programme managers understanding the different market segments and how bulls are sourced for the company.

Exports

Dovea Genetics has developed a significant market for semen to over 20 countries with ambitious plans for expansion. The time spent with the exports team will give the candidate an understanding of the semen type for different markets and the associated health regulations.

Semen Processing and R&D

The time spent with this team will assist the successful candidate in the understanding of the semen processing procedure, how pre-processing quality checks, processing procedure and post processing quality checks are carried out and the importance in relation to semen quality.

Marketing

The marketing team will provide an insight into the different platforms used to promote, market and increase brand awareness for the company. The company uses both digital and traditional marketing.
